The Bible is the authoritative written Word of God. It is filled with the lives of real people, real problems, and people with real doubts. One such real person with very real problems was Job. Job loses everything on this planet that he loves, and to top it off his “friends” stop by and give him faulty advice and counsel.

Sometimes we go through suffering ourselves and have no idea why or for what purpose. Stay strong in your faith! Persevere! None of your suffering will matter in Heaven.

Pastor Dennis starts his summer series on topics and passages that were submitted by the congregation. Today he explores how to deal with and concquer the besetting sin. That sin that we all deal with at a certain point and struggle to find victory over. Listen to see how you can beat this sin through a thirst for holiness, understand that God loves us in spite of our sin, rely on God’s help as we resist and overcome sin, and how an accountability partner can help.

The Blessing is a celebrated tradition among the Israelites where a father passes a blessing onto his grown son. There are many stories and examples of this practice documented in the Bible. The book of Genesis offers some fascinating accounts of how this blessing was used, and unfortunately sometimes stolen.

The Blessing is a way for a father to express his love to his children. This is a very fitting topic for Father’s Day as we reflect on our love for our children.

Two words that often come up during our discussions on the Christian faith are “Hallelujah” and “Hosanna”. We are familiar with these words, we read them in the Bible or other Christian Literature, we sing them in songs, we even speak or exclaim them from time to time. But what do these words truly mean? Where did they originate? Pastor Brent gives us a solid understanding of these two important words so that we can know what the real meaning of each is; and so we can incorporate them into our daily lives with the confidence of knowing their full value.

The very idea of meeting in the local church is being questioned by some, including Christians who have attended services regularly in the past. Some don’t like the particular service style available while others have been truly hurt by someone within the church. It is time to apologize to those who have been hurt and to invite those who have decided to stop attending to come back home. Scripture tells us that we are part of a family and that we need to interact with and encourage one another in our faith in Jesus Christ.
