Nothing But The Blood

Modern culture portrays blood as something disgusting, to be feared or to create feelings of repulsion. With that kind of perception it is no wonder that non-Christians find our songs and writings about the “cleansing blood of Jesus” so disturbing. In fact, the blood of Jesus is the only way to become truly clean and to find salvation. Praise God that He sent His Son to spill His blood so that you and I may have eternal life!

Promises are only as good as what they are anchored upon. All promises made on anything other than God can be rendered null and void at any time. Keep your focus on God and eternity and remember and realize that all earthly promises are essentially worthless. Trust in God and the promises made through Jesus Christ.

As Christians we are called to maturity. We must make the effort to not only have the knowledge and understanding, but to actually apply that knowledge and understanding.

Just as children grow in physical stature and emotional maturity, we are to grow our spiritual maturity and ultimately move from milk to solid food. True maturity comes from disciplined, thoughtful application.

Being good to others and performing good works are important parts of being a Christian; but that is not what will get you into Heaven. Our salvation comes from Jesus alone, and with His salvation comes a sense of peace and rest. Although this does not translate into a trouble-free life, having this peace and rest is a wonderful comfort during periods of strife.
