Deuteronomy 18:9-12. Today we start a study on just what happens to a person when they die. Death is inevitable so we might as well face that and know the truth ahead of time. It boils down to this: a person dies once (and only once) and spends eternity in Heaven or Hell.

Today we focus on three things that lead people astray from the Biblical truth about death. Those three things are:

  • Channeling the dead
  • Reincarnation
  • Near death experiences

1 Kings 19. Comics tell tales of superheroes with extraordinary powers; powers that enable the heroes to defeat their evil enemies in every circumstance. Yet even the strongest of these superheroes had some sort of weakness, such as Superman’s weakness to kryptonite.

We can read about many real life superheroes in the Bible. These heroes were given wonderful talents and gifts by God in order to defeat evil, false gods and their followers. One such hero was Elijah. In today’s message you will find out what Elijah’s “kryptonite” was and what God did to help him overcome it.
