Perseverance

To be a faithful Christian there is a great need for perseverance. We must constantly persevere against the constant onslaught of temptations which lead to sinful behavior. We must remain steadfast in our faith through personal loss and grief. Equally important, Christians must persevere against the persecution so many face around the globe. What is a Christian to do if faced by angry persons bent on torture or murder? Above all else the right thing to do is persevere and hold onto faith in the salvation of Jesus Christ.

We are Family

The very idea of meeting in the local church is being questioned by some, including Christians who have attended services regularly in the past. Some don’t like the particular service style available while others have been truly hurt by someone within the church. It is time to apologize to those who have been hurt and to invite those who have decided to stop attending to come back home. Scripture tells us that we are part of a family and that we need to interact with and encourage one another in our faith in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 9
Nothing But The Blood

Modern culture portrays blood as something disgusting, to be feared or to create feelings of repulsion. With that kind of perception it is no wonder that non-Christians find our songs and writings about the “cleansing blood of Jesus” so disturbing. In fact, the blood of Jesus is the only way to become truly clean and to find salvation. Praise God that He sent His Son to spill His blood so that you and I may have eternal life!
